Standard 1/2" connections fit common US supply lines and shut-off valves.
Dimensions & drawing
Spout height and reach vary slightly because each piece is finished by hand. Hole spacing and connections are standard.
Installation guide
Tools: adjustable wrench, basin wrench, thread-seal tape, bucket and towel, flashlight.
- Check the holes. You need 3 holes, Ø 1-1/4" (32 mm), 8" center-to-center (4" from the spout to each handle). Deck thickness up to about 1-1/2".
- Turn off the water. Close both shut-off valves under the sink and open the old faucet to release pressure. Remove the old faucet and clean the deck.
- Mount the spout. From above, set the spout in the center hole with its gasket. From below, thread on the washer and mounting nut and hand-tighten, then snug with a wrench while a helper keeps the spout straight.
- Mount the hot and cold valves. Insert the hot valve on the left and the cold valve on the right. Secure each with its washer and nut, keeping the handle stops aligned.
- Connect valves to the spout. Attach the connector hoses from each valve to the tee under the spout. Hand-tighten, then add a quarter turn. Do not over-tighten.
- Connect water supply. Run supply lines from the valve inlets to the shut-off valves (hot left, cold right). Use thread-seal tape on threaded joints only, never on compression fittings.
- Fit the handles. Fix the cross handles to the valve stems and tighten the set screws or caps. Check both turn smoothly from off to fully open.
- Flush and test. Remove the aerator, open the shut-off valves and run water for 1 minute to flush debris. Refit the aerator and check every joint for leaks.
- Install the drain. Fit your pop-up or grid drain (not included) and test it with the sink full.

FAQ
What is a widespread bathroom faucet?
A widespread faucet is a 3-hole faucet where the spout and the two handles are separate pieces. This brass widespread bathroom faucet uses the standard 8" spread (center-to-center), the most common layout for vanity or bathroom sinks in the US.
Will it fit my sink or countertop?
Yes, if your sink or counter has 3 holes spaced 8" apart, about 1-1/4" in diameter, and the deck is no thicker than about 1-1/2". For a new stone top, ask your fabricator to drill to these measurements.
Can I install it on a single-hole sink?
No. A widespread faucet needs 3 holes. For a single hole, choose a single-hole brass faucet from our collection.
What is unlacquered brass and will it tarnish?
Unlacquered brass has no protective coating, so it naturally darkens to a warm patina with use. That living finish is part of its charm. A brass polish restores the shine whenever you like.
How do I clean a brass faucet?
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry. Avoid bleach, abrasive pads and acidic cleaners such as vinegar.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
Many confident DIYers can install a widespread faucet in 1 to 2 hours using the steps above. If you are unsure, or replacing old shut-off valves, a licensed plumber is recommended.
What is the processing time and how fast is shipping?
Each faucet is handmade and quality-checked, so please allow a 7-day processing time. It then ships with free express shipping, and you get a tracking number by email.
Is the drain included?
No, the drain is sold separately. Any standard pop-up or grid drain will work.

Materials & Care
Authentic Solid Brass and Copper
Every Kinycraft piece is handcrafted from genuine copper or premium solid brass. We do not use lightweight plated metals or imitation finishes. Our materials are carefully selected for their strength, durability, natural beauty, and ability to develop character over time.
Because our products are handmade, slight variations in texture, hammering, color, and finish are natural. These differences are not defects—they make every piece unique.
Unlacquered Brass
Our unlacquered brass products are made from solid brass without a protective lacquer coating. They normally arrive with a bright, polished appearance and gradually develop a natural patina through exposure to air, moisture, oils, and everyday use.
The finish may become warmer, darker, or more aged over time. This natural transformation is known as a living finish and is part of the authentic character of unlacquered brass.
Customers who prefer the original shiny appearance can regularly polish the brass. Those who appreciate an aged, vintage look can allow the patina to develop naturally.
Copper
Our copper pieces are made from genuine copper and may be offered in polished, hammered, aged, oxidized, or custom patina finishes.
Like unlacquered brass, copper is a living material. Its color may naturally deepen or change over time depending on humidity, handling, water exposure, and the surrounding environment. These variations add warmth and individuality to each handcrafted product.
Daily Cleaning
For regular care:
- Clean the surface with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild soap.
- Rinse away any soap residue with clean water.
- Dry the item immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Wipe away water spots regularly, especially in hard-water areas.
- Use a soft microfiber cloth to avoid scratching the finish.
Maintaining a Shiny Finish
To preserve or restore a bright polished appearance:
- Use a brass or copper polish suitable for unlacquered metal.
- Apply a small amount using a soft cloth.
- Always test the product on a small, discreet area first.
- Polish gently and follow the product manufacturer’s instructions.
- Remove all remaining polish and buff the surface with a clean cloth.
Frequent polishing is optional. It should only be done when you wish to reduce or remove the natural patina.
Preserving the Natural Patina
To maintain the naturally aged appearance:
- Avoid metal polish and abrasive cleaning products.
- Clean gently using mild soap and water.
- Dry the surface after cleaning.
- Allow the finish to continue changing naturally.
- Avoid excessive rubbing, as this may create brighter areas.
Products to Avoid
Do not use:
- Bleach or chlorine-based cleaners
- Strong chemical cleaning sprays
- Abrasive powders or scouring pads
- Steel wool or hard brushes
- Oven cleaners or aggressive degreasers
- Highly acidic products unless specifically intended for brass or copper
Harsh products may stain, scratch, discolor, or permanently alter the metal finish.
Important Care Notes
Water quality, humidity, fingerprints, cleaning habits, and environmental conditions can affect how quickly brass and copper develop patina. Areas that are frequently touched may change color faster than less-used sections.
For faucets, sinks, showers, and bathroom accessories, drying the surface after use will help reduce mineral deposits and water marks. A soft cloth should be used around engraved, hammered, or detailed areas.
Natural patina, surface variation, and gradual color changes are expected characteristics of genuine unlacquered brass and copper. They are not considered manufacturing defects.
