The Details Behind the Frame

A console frame is seen every day and up close. These are the details that make it look right and sit securely.

A Finish Worth Seeing Up Close

Material & finish

A Finish Worth Seeing Up Close

Our console frames are handcrafted from solid brass and finished in your choice of unlacquered brass, antique brass, aged copper, bronze or chrome. Because each frame is finished by hand, small variations in tone and surface are part of its character.

Why it mattersYou can choose a living finish that patinates naturally, or an applied aged or plated finish that holds its look — with care notes for each in the builder.

Carefully Considered Connections

Joints & connections

Carefully Considered Connections

The connectors where legs meet rails are part of the design, not an afterthought — you choose their style in the builder alongside the frame itself.

Why it mattersConnectors shape whether the frame reads as traditional or quietly modern, so the details match the rest of your bathroom.

Secured to the Wall Where It Matters

Wall fixings

Secured to the Wall Where It Matters

Two-leg frames fix to the wall at the rear with flanges; four-leg frames may also be anchored depending on your top, floor and wall. Mounting hardware for the frame is included — wall anchors suited to your wall type are supplied by your installer.

Why it mattersKnowing the fixing method up front lets you locate studs or solid masonry before the frame arrives.

Made Around Your Measurements

Sizing

Made Around Your Measurements

Each frame is built to the outside width, depth and frame height you enter, with the shelf height and towel bar positions you choose.

Why it mattersA frame sized to your basin and wall avoids awkward overhangs and leaves room for the trap, valves and nearby doors.

What you can configure

Designed Around Your Bathroom

Every frame starts with the size and style you choose. Options marked Optional are added in the builder and priced as you select them.

  • Custom width, depth & height Included

Enter your own outside dimensions, decimals included, within the ranges shown in the builder — or start from a Compact, Standard or Wide preset.

  • Five finishes Included

Unlacquered brass, antique brass, aged copper, bronze and chrome. Each finish has its own care notes in the Finish step — unlacquered brass develops a natural patina; chrome does not.

  • Two-leg or four-leg frame Included

Two-leg frames stand on front legs and always fix to the wall at the rear with flanges, so the wall behind must offer studs or solid masonry. Four-leg frames read more like furniture and may still need anchoring depending on your top, floor and wall.

  • Towel bars & lower shelf Optional

Add a front or side towel bar and a lower shelf. The shelf height can be adjusted in the builder to clear your trap and plumbing.

  • Countertop & basin compatibility Check first

The top, basin, faucet and plumbing are sourced separately. Choose them first, compare their drawing with your frame size, and add the model to your order notes — we review it before production.

  • Clear measurements before you order Included

Your dimensions, style, options and finish are summarised beside the price and saved with your order, so there is no guesswork about what is being made.

What You Can Order

This builder makes custom brass console sink legs: an open, solid brass frame that holds your console sink, basin or stone countertop in place of a vanity cabinet. It is also called a console sink stand or washstand frame. You set the outside width, depth and frame height, then choose the frame style, a lower shelf, towel rails, connectors, feet and finish.

Standard-size frames use the same prices as our ready-made solid brass console sink stand, available in 10 sizes from 24″ to 42″ wide. Every other size and option is priced live, so you see the full frame price before you add it to the cart. Shipping and taxes are shown at checkout.

The sink, countertop and faucet are sourced separately, so you can pair the frame with the basin you have chosen. Read more about our materials and craftsmanship.

How to Measure Your Console Frame

  • Outside width — across the outside of the frame, leg to leg. Check the wall space available and allow for door swings and nearby fixtures.
  • Outside depth — from the wall to the front face of the frame. On two-leg frames this includes the wall flanges.
  • Frame height — from the floor to the top of the brass frame, not to the top of your counter. Add the thickness of your top or basin rim to find the finished height.
  • Your top is sourced separately — choose the basin or countertop first, then size the frame to it. Any overhang is a design choice; we don't prescribe a universal figure.
  • Plumbing clearance — note where the supply lines and drain leave the wall or floor, and leave room for the trap, valves and any lower shelf.
  • Wall fixing positions — two-leg frames fix to the wall at the rear, so locate studs or solid masonry. Four-leg frames may also need anchoring.
  • Send your drawing — check your basin or countertop drawing against the frame size before ordering, and add the model to your order notes. We can't promise every basin will suit every frame.

Frequently asked questions

What are console sink legs?

Console sink legs are an open frame that supports a console sink, basin or countertop instead of a vanity cabinet. They are also called a console sink stand or washstand. Ours are made from solid brass to the dimensions you enter.

Is a sink or countertop included?

No. This builder sells the brass console frame and the frame components you select. The sink or basin, countertop, faucet, drain, trap and other plumbing accessories are sourced separately.

Do you sell ready-made sizes?

Yes. Our solid brass console sink stand comes in 10 standard sizes from 24″ to 42″ wide. Use this builder when you need a different size, four legs, a shelf, towel rails or another finish.

How is the price of a custom frame calculated?

The price starts from the frame size, then adds the options you choose, such as four legs, a shelf, towel rails, ball connectors or upgraded feet. Standard sizes match our ready-made console sink stand. The builder shows the full frame price before you add it to the cart; shipping and taxes are calculated at checkout.

Are the console legs solid brass?

Yes. Kinycraft console frames are handcrafted from solid brass. Chrome is a plated finish; the other finishes are brass tones with different aged looks.

How do I choose frame dimensions?

Start from your basin or countertop and the space on your wall, then follow the measuring guide above. Enter your exact width, depth and height — decimals are fine — and the price updates instantly.

Can I order a custom size?

Yes. Choose Custom and enter any width, depth and height within the sizes shown in the builder. Your price is calculated immediately and you can add the frame straight to your cart.

What is the difference between the two frame styles?

The two-leg style has legs at the front only and fixes to the wall at the rear with flanges, which keeps the space beneath very open. The four-leg style has a leg at each corner and looks more like a freestanding piece of furniture. The choice changes the look and how the frame is installed; it does not by itself decide whether wall anchoring is needed.

Does the frame require wall anchoring?

Two-leg frames always fix to the wall. Four-leg frames may also need anchoring depending on your basin, top, floor and wall. Professional installation is recommended, and required fixings vary with the sink, countertop and wall construction.

Will my basin fit the frame?

Compare your basin or countertop drawing with the outside width and depth you enter, and add the model to your order notes. We check your order before production, but we can't guarantee that every basin suits every frame.

Can I use a vessel sink or a stone countertop?

The frame supports the top or console basin you source separately, so a vessel sink would sit on a countertop that rests on the frame. Check your countertop or basin drawing against the frame width and depth, and add the model to your order notes so we can review it before production.

What comes with the frame?

Your frame comes with the components you configure and the mounting hardware for the frame — see the What's Included list above, which updates as you design. Wall anchors suited to your wall type are not included.

Which finishes change over time?

Unlacquered brass is a living finish: it darkens and develops a patina, especially where it's touched or splashed. Antique brass, aged copper and bronze are applied aged finishes that can brighten slightly with handling. Chrome is a plated finish and does not patinate.

How do I care for the finish?

For unlacquered brass, clean with a soft cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners, and use a suitable brass polish if you prefer a brighter appearance. Care notes for each finish appear in the Finish step of the builder and in our brass and copper care guide.

How do I order several frames for a project?

Configure each frame and add it to the cart. Different sizes or finishes become separate cart lines, and the quantity selector covers repeated units of the same configuration.
