Brass Bistro Shelving: Mounting and Shelf Options
Choose brass bistro shelving by mounting arrangement first, then overall size, shelf layout, shelf package and finish. A wall-mounted unit and a ceiling-suspended unit can have similar styling while requiring very different support and installation planning.
Compare mounting arrangements
| Arrangement | What to measure | What your installer should check |
|---|---|---|
| Wall mounted | Overall width, height, projection and clearance above furniture. | Wall structure, fixing positions and nearby concealed services. |
| Ceiling and wall mounted | Drop from the ceiling, width, depth and wall-arm positions. | Both ceiling and wall attachment locations. |
| Ceiling suspended | Ceiling-to-bottom drop, width, depth and clearance beneath. | Suitable overhead structure and all suspension points. |
| Countertop supported and wall secured | Counter-to-top height, base positions and projection. | Counter material, wall attachments and interference with taps or outlets. |
| Floor supported or freestanding | Floor footprint, total height and access around the unit. | Level support and the design's stabilization or anchoring requirements. |
Frame dimensions are not shelf cut sizes
Width × Height × Depth normally describes the complete frame on the relevant Kinycraft listings. Posts, fittings and support details reduce or otherwise change the usable shelf area. Do not order glass or cut wood using overall frame dimensions. Confirm the final panel dimensions for the chosen model and configuration.
What is a bay?
A bay is a section between upright support positions. Shelf levels and bays are different: a three-level, two-bay layout may require six separate panels, depending on the design. Check the panel count in the individual listing rather than assuming each level uses one continuous shelf.
Are shelves included?
On listings offering the following packages, Frame Only excludes shelf boards and glass. With Wooden Shelves and With Glass Shelves include the selected layout's panel set. With Brass-Covered Wooden Shelves uses a wooden core covered in brass; it is different from a solid-brass panel. Builder options and other products may use different labels, so review the selected configuration and order summary.
Ball connectors or plain connectors?
Ball connectors create a rounded decorative joint, while plain cylindrical connectors give a quieter junction. Turned finials add detail at post ends. These are design distinctions; appearance alone does not establish a load rating or mounting suitability.
How much weight can it hold?
Confirm the allowable load for your exact frame, shelf material, span and fixing arrangement with Kinycraft and your installer. Do not infer a safe load from a photograph, the brass finish or another shelving model.
Prepare a project request
Send the product link, overall dimensions, mounting surfaces, bay and level count, shelf package, finish, destination and target installation date. Include a photograph or marked drawing of the site. Confirm production and transit estimates separately before committing to an opening or renovation date.
